"Volunteering Yes" aims to improve the use of social and cultural volunteering models and methods as a tool for training disadvantaged people in active citizenship, with a view to their personal and community empowerment. Volunteering is today an instrument of participation in society in various fields, as well as an enriching experience that allows the development of skills and social competences.

The project aims to enhance the power of volunteering as a tool for adult education and to equip especially the most disadvantaged adults to help them strengthen their sense of citizenship, responsibility and initiative; it also aims to help improve their media literacy and critical thinking; digital and organisational skills; their career possibilities in the labour market; and their ability to become more active.

The project counts with the participation of 6 partner countries::

  • Italy
  • Turkey
  • Slovenia
  • Portugal
  • Austria
  • Spain

The project supports the transferability of learning from volunteering experiences to other dimensions of people's lives. The aim is to promote ways to maximise the benefits of volunteering in terms of social integration and reintegration, civic participation, and mobility opportunities..
The project aims to help unemployed adults and equip them with tools to improve their capacities and skills of democratic participation, leadership, co-operation, making them also active to improve the social and economic territory to which they belong.
