The project “PLANet B” aimed to promote the potential of young people to tackle climate change at local and global level, and to support youth workers to develop their skills so that they can introduce climate change education into their professional practice, and inspire the next generation of climate activists.
The internet is the most accessible medium for young people to express their opinions and therefore the project, through social media actions, aimed to positively impact the behaviour of their peers. With the right knowledge, young people can play a considerable role in spreading the right message about climate action.
The project focused on online presence by creating a Facebook page that allows a network of youth workers from all partner countries to engage with each other as a way to tackle climate change.
In addition, it has created the following materials free of charge and in online format::
- Training programme - Suitable for all youth work environments, designed to enable young workers to integrate digital challenges into their daily activities.
- A Selection of Digital Resources - Addressing 6 of the most common climate change topics, these resources have been planned, designed, developed and are ready to use.
- MOOC A huge open online course where you can access all the digital challenges, along with resources to help you complete the digital challenges.
This project is supported under the European programme Erasmus+ - Innovation.
