A primeira Newsletter do projeto (Re)Natured Cities já se encontra disponível, reunindo os principais desenvolvimentos alcançados durante os primeiros meses de implementação e apresentando os próximos passos desta iniciativa europeia dedicada à gestão mais sustentável dos Espaços Verdes e Azuis Urbanos (EVAU).
The project aims to support municipalities in their ecological transition by promoting sustainable and nature-based practices, biodiversity and ecosystem services, environmental awareness, citizen engagement, and greater urban resilience to climate change.
In this first edition, readers can learn more about:
- The (Re)Natured Cities project and its main objectives,as well as the work being carried out by the European consortium;
- The project Kick-off Meeting;;
- The local analyses developed within Work Package 2, through interviews with professionals responsible for UGBS management and maintenance and field visits carried out across the partner countries;
- The main European findings resulting from this research;;
- The publication of the Transnational Report, which brings together the results of the local analyses and identifies common practices, priorities and needs that will guide the development of the project’s upcoming resources;
- The development of the technical modules, currently underway, which will translate the research findings into practical guidance to support municipalities in adopting more sustainable management and maintenance approaches;
- The next steps of the project, including the upcoming “Flipping Green” flipbook and the continued development of the planned learning resources.
