The project “Gigging-4-Living” project seeks to support performing artists - musicians, dancers and actors - to develop their entrepreneurial skills so that they can build successful and sustainable careers in the creative sector - making use of multiple digital platforms that can contribute to their career in a post-pandemic economy.
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on performing artists has been huge. Performers have been disadvantaged and have been the hardest hit by lockdowns and restrictions across Europe. They have been left unable to perform, and unable to support themselves, which has led to a negative impact on their mental health and wellbeing. This is why Gigging-4-Living also supports performing artists to protect and maintain their wellbeing in a post-pandemic economy.
GIGGING-4-LIVING has developed a customised training curriculum that has specific modules tailored to the needs of 3 distinct groups, namely: musicians, dancers and actors..
GIGGING-4-Living has created a toolkit that focuses on developing resilience to promote positive mental health in the performing arts sector.
The MOOC gives access to the full set of EduZines and Interactive Infographics developed. Access is via the QR codes contained in the interactive infographics. Each resource contains some quizzes and challenges to demonstrate skills and assess acquired knowledge. Built-in social networking features support interaction between adult educators, performing artists and mental health experts.
This project is supported in the frame of the Erasmus+ European programme. - Innovation
